Two of Falafel Software's employees have been awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award. The award is given to outstanding members of Microsoft's technical communities for contributions made during the previous 12 months.
For our CEO, Lino Tadros, it's a milestone. This is the 10th year in a row that Lino has been named a MVP. For over a decade Lino has actively contributed to the Microsoft community, adapting his expertise to the latest technology. Earlier this year, Lino was recognized at the Microsoft MVP Summit for bringing to market EventBoard for Windows Phone, one of the most trusted conference companion applications available. Recently, Lino has spoken about Windows Phone and Windows Metro development at DevReach and ITCamp Romania. His expertise and unmistakable enthusiasm has also made him a podcast favorite. Lino has been featured on Richard Campbell and Carl Franklin’s popular radio show “.NET Rocks” as well as Jesse Liberty’s “Yet Another Podcast”. If you have not yet heard Lino speak, don't miss him later this year at WPDevCon, Silicon Valley Code Camp or DevConnections.
The year 2012 will also be remembered as a milestone for our President and CTO, John Waters, who was named a Microsoft MVP for the first time. John has worked tirelessly in the past 12 months and has become a familiar face to many Windows Phone, Windows Metro, and Azure developers in Silicon Valley. During the release of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, John spent the day at a local Microsoft sponsored event explaining Windows Metro development to would be developers. He also taught the Silicon Valley Windows Phone User's Group how to move Windows Phone apps to Windows 8 Metro and then later ran the Windows Phone Unleashed event in Mountain View, CA. John is also a member of the Azure Insiders group where he actively contributes his Windows Azure knowledge. You may have caught his talks at DevTeach Vancouver or the Windows TechConference in Switzerland, and you can see him in action again at Silicon Valley Code Camp and WPDevCon later this year.
We know that both Lino and John have have worked around the clock for years to establish their names as well as Falafel Software as an expert in all things Microsoft. Congratulations to you both, the awards are well deserved!
