Microsoft TechEd Europe 2012 has chosen Falafel Software’s flagship mobile application, “EventBoard”, as the official conference companion for the event in June. 

Spanning 5 days and packed with over 1000 educational opportunities, TechEd is the premier European Microsoft technology education event, and this year navigating the event will be a breeze with EventBoard. Thousands of attendees will abandon the paper program and use EventBoard to plan out their day, navigate the show floor and stay connected. 

We like to think that TechEd Europe’s selection of EventBoard was an easy decision to make. EventBoard utilizes some of Microsoft’s latest and greatest technologies and showcases what Falafel Software can do with them. On the server side, EventBoard leverages Microsoft’s cloud technology using Windows and SQL Azure to host services and store data. 

On the client side, users of the Windows Phone version of EventBoard are in for a few platform specific treats. Windows Phone users can now “pin” TechEd Europe to their start page and access the event data directly through a secondary tile. Login can also be accomplished with Access Control Services allowing anyone with a Windows Live ID to sync their agenda with TechEd Europe’s website. Once the event starts, session materials and live streaming keynotes will be accessible directly from Windows Phones. 

TechEd Europe’s goal is to teach attendees how to use Microsoft tools, and EventBoard is a great example of Microsoft tools at work. Seems these two were meant for each other and at Falafel Software, we couldn’t be more excited about it.
